A Digital Signature Certificate (DSC) is an electronic form of a signature used to authenticate the identity of the signer and ensure data security in online transactions. It is issued by a Certifying Authority (CA) and serves as a legally recognized method of signing electronic documents.
Types of Digital Signature Certificates:
1. Class 3 DSC: The highest level of security, required for e-tendering, e-procurement, online auctions, and other high-value transactions.
2. DGFT DSC: Specifically issued for Importers and Exporters to sign transactions on the Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT) portal.
